Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Masjids mobile application and related services ("Service") operated by Masjids App ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement. Users under 18 should have parental or guardian consent.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to keep that information current.

You must not create accounts for purposes other than using the Service as intended, share your account with others, or use the account of another person without permission.

Masjid administrators who register a masjid on the Service represent that they have authority to do so on behalf of that institution.

When a user identifies themselves as a masjid's administrator, we manually verify this claim before granting any administrative access — this review is not automatic and may take a few days. We will follow up at the email address on the account.

Administrators are responsible for the accuracy of prayer times, announcements, events, and other content they publish.

We reserve the right to remove or suspend any masjid listing that contains inaccurate, misleading, or inappropriate content.

The app may display external donation links (e.g. LaunchGood, Zelle, or a masjid's own donation page) that masjid administrators configure themselves. The app does not process, handle, or store any payment or card information.

Tapping a donation link takes you to a third-party site. We are not a party to and have no responsibility for any transaction on those external sites. Please review the linked site's own terms and privacy policy before donating.

By enabling notifications you consent to receive prayer time alerts, iqamah reminders, announcements, and event updates from masjids you follow. You may opt out at any time through the app's notification settings or your device settings.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Post false, misleading, or defamatory content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Use automated means to access or scrape the Service
• Impersonate any person or entity

The Masjids app, including its design, code, and content, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without our express written permission.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Prayer times shown in the app are calculated estimates or admin-entered values — always verify with your local masjid for official iqamah times. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of inaccuracies.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to missed prayer times, donation disputes, or data loss.

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile tab. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion if you violate these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Pennsylvania.
